This is a 2mm layout built on A1 foamboard on an aluminium chassis.
It will be used to test the automation of a railway layout using the freely available JMRI system.
Automation means that there is no requirement for a fiddle yard.
Although a number of short trains will be used on the track, any trains not in motion will have to be held in an isolated block.
The initial layout will not have any scenery. However it may become part of a larger layout that has the working title of Stac Tomaidh.
