All member entries will be viewed by our visiting judges in the clubroom on that evening, the results of their deliberations announced, and the appropriate trophies awarded to the winners. The replica trophies will be presented at the AGM three weeks later.

Once again, here is a reminder of the various modelling categories and competition rules.

The TOM HOLLOWAY CUP – for any scratch-built/ hand-built locomotive or rolling stock. The latter can either be a single vehicle or a group of vehicles.

The CHAIRMAN’S MUG – for any kit built locomotive or rolling stock. The latter can either be a single vehicle or a group of vehicles.

The CMRS AWARD – for any super—detailed or modified proprietary locomotive or rolling stock. The latter can either be a single vehicle or a group of vehicles.

NOTE: A complete train can be entered for any of the above three awards counting as a single entry in the category entered.

The OFFICERS’ TROPHY – any item of railway modelling excluding locomotives or rolling stock (e.g. scenic items,  trackside buildings, a layout or part of a layout). The model can be either scratch built, kit built or of modified proprietary origin or any combination thereof.

The JOHN SAYERS MEMORIAL SHIELD – awarded at the Judges’ discretion to the best model in the competition entered by a member who has not previously won a Society award

Each member may submit a maximum of three entries in each class subject to a maximum of any three classes being entered.

NO MODEL OR GROUP OF MODELS THAT HAS WON ITS CATEGORY MAY BE ENTERED AGAIN IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS.

Please let the Secretaryhave written details of entries by Wednesday 30‘“ January 2019. These must include your name. a brief description of each entry and the class into which it is to be entered.

It is not necessary to bring the model itself before the evening of 6th February, but please be early. Entry forms will be available in the clubroom, but if you can’t get hold of one, just write the required details in a letter or an e-mail.
