Dodgy Ducting – 25th September

The last piece of track is now in place. However the challenges of warping of the ducting, different makes of railes and forgetting to drill the holes to move the tie bars have presented Dave with an unique set of challenges.

Meanwhile Malcolm H has started to ensure that the shuttle electronics are still working after their work out at the Exhibition last year.

The first step will be to make it work on the shuttle test track and then to use the second board so that it can be used to change the points and stop the train at the right point.

There is a DMU ready and waiting to be used but there are concerns that the mismatch between different rail types will cause derailments on anything larger than a shunter.
