There is track to be laid on the new extension board and some electronics need to be added to the points.

On many points, there is a need to switch the correct polarity of the track power to the ‘frog’ of the point. Ray has demonstrated some ‘frog juicers’ ( no reptiles were injured in this demonstration) which detect any short circuits on the frog and very quickly switch the polarity of the supply.

So Malcolm and Dave have lifted the points and Malcolm has some homework before next week.
