The layout consists of ten baseboards. Last week Malcolm suggested that we should prepare a ‘bag of bits’ for the electronics required under each baseboard. The photos show the first iteration.
Inevitably there were more items required – mostly connectors. These will be sourced and added next week.
In the phot below, bag one has many more components than the others and this is going to be the board that hosts the DCC controller and booster. The white box contains a visual monitor that all is well and allows up to two hand held controllers or mimic panels to be added in.
As the baseboards are arranged in two sets, left and right, it will make sense to add two district cut-out modules so that a short on one board will not hamper operations on the other.
