After a bit of a pause, work has resumed on the Layout with No Name.

I’m sure I heard someone suggest that more wires were needed. A glance from Richard hinted that I may have heard incorrectly!

Richard and Ray have adopted Al’s wiring diagram and started soldering the thicker DCC cables to the tag strips on each board. There are another set of wires for DC operation but these will be left until later.

The challenge on all new layouts is to establish tracks that can run a range of locomotives without hesitation, repetition or deviation. So the emphasis is getting power to all boards quickly so that the navvies can begin the trackwork.
